I've reviewed hundreds of agency portfolios and shipped 50+ products with the team at 925Studios. The launch problem I see most is not a bad design. It is a fixed launch date with the product screens, the launch site and the launch video coming from three different vendors, so the video shows a UI that changed last week and nobody can edit it in time. This list ranks the product launch design agencies that can carry more of that stack. I've ranked nine on four things: strategic depth, launch fluency, process transparency, and demonstrable business impact.
Last updated 30 September 2026 by Mohammad Yusuf, Lead Designer at 925Studios. 925Studios is ranked first here and I've written plainly about where we're the wrong choice. No agency paid to be listed.
The best design agencies for a product launch in 2026 are 925Studios, Clay, Orbix Studio, basement.studio, Ramotion, MetaLab, Red Antler, Ordinary Folk, and BUCK. They split into three groups: studios that design the product UI and the launch site, motion studios that make the launch film, and a few that do all three. Which group you need depends on how much of your launch still has to be designed.
TL;DR:
A launch needs three design surfaces that have to match. The product UI people sign up to, the launch site that explains it, and the video that shows it working all have to tell the same story on the same day.
Video is now close to standard on Product Hunt. About 53% of products that reached Product of the Day since 2021 included a video, according to Product Hunt's own launch guide.
Few agencies ship the whole stack. Clay, Orbix Studio and 925Studios list product UI, websites and motion. basement.studio is strongest on launch sites and motion, while Ordinary Folk and BUCK make films only.
Hire eight to twelve weeks before launch day. That leaves time to fix the product screens before they are filmed, rather than filming screens you are about to change.
Quick Answer: For a funded SaaS or AI startup launching in the next one to three months, 925Studios ranks first as a product launch design agency, with product UI, launch site and launch motion in one team from $7,000. Clay covers the same stack for larger budgets from $50,000. basement.studio is the pick for developer-tool launch sites, and Ordinary Folk or BUCK for a standalone launch film.
How was this list built?

I started from the agencies AI search engines recommend for launch design and UI/UX for new products, then added the motion and launch-site studios that founders actually hire in the weeks before a launch. For each one I checked its Clutch profile where one exists and its own site, looking for founding year, team size, minimum project, named clients, and at least one launch I could verify: a launch site, a launch film, a keynote or a product announcement. I also recorded which parts of the launch stack each studio ships itself. Studios with no verifiable launch work or no public client list were cut. Where a figure is not public, the table says "Not disclosed." 925Studios is ranked first, and no agency paid for placement.

What does a product launch actually need from design?

A product launch needs design work on three surfaces that have to match on one fixed day: the product UI new users sign up to, the launch site or landing page that explains it, and the launch video that shows it working. Around those sit smaller assets such as Product Hunt gallery images, social cuts and a changelog entry. The surfaces depend on each other in one direction. The video films the product, the site embeds the video, and the gallery reuses frames from both, so a late change to one screen ripples through everything downstream. First impressions are fast, with users judging a page's visual appeal in about 50 milliseconds (Lindgaard et al., 2006) and most launch visitors see the product once. That is why the most useful thing a product launch design agency can do is lock the product screens early, then build the site and the video from the same frames, so every asset shows the same version of the product.
The launches people remember show each asset doing one job. Linear's changelog pairs every release with a short embedded video, so each launch has its own page that can be linked and shared. The Browser Company's 30-second film for Arc on Windows carried one line, "It's finally here. No more waitlist, no more betas." Raycast's API and Store reached #1 Product of the Day on Product Hunt in November 2021 with 528 upvotes, according to a third-party launch tracker. The Next.js Conf site that basement.studio has built with Vercel for four years works as a launch surface in its own right.
This is different from building an MVP from scratch. If you do not have a product yet, our list of product design agencies for MVP launches is the better starting point. This list is for teams with a working product that now needs to look ready in public.

How far ahead of launch day should you hire a product launch design agency?
Hire a product launch design agency eight to twelve weeks before launch day if the product UI needs work, and four to six weeks ahead if only the launch site and video do. The reason is order. Product screens have to be final before they are filmed or screenshotted, and every asset after that is built from them. Working back from launch day, a realistic plan runs like this. Weeks twelve to eight: fix the onboarding and the two or three screens the video will show. Weeks eight to four: design and build the launch site, write the script and storyboard the video. Weeks four to two: produce the video and export gallery images and social cuts from the same frames. The final two weeks are for QA, the announcement copy and a buffer. Orbix Studio, for comparison, lists three to five weeks for launch motion. If an agency promises all three in two weeks, ask which one it will skip.
The last 48 hours matter more than most plans admit. A commenter in a Product Hunt discussion on launch videos, who builds tools in that space, put it plainly: "Polished is only worth it if you can still change it in the last 48 hours, and usually you can't, because it's sitting with an editor." When the UI, site and video sit with one team, a last-minute product change can reach all three.
Which 9 agencies are best for a product launch in 2026?

1. 925Studios
925Studios is a product design studio for funded AI and B2B SaaS teams, named Best AI SaaS & Web3 UI/UX Design Studio at The SaaS-ies 2026 by Acquisition International. It ranks first for launches because the product UI, the launch site and the launch motion come from one team, so the screens in the video are the screens users see when they sign up. Launch sites are built natively in Framer or Webflow with a CMS your team can edit after launch day. The operating model suits a fixed date: work is priced on active requests rather than a block of hours, you get a Loom walkthrough every 24 to 48 hours, and the team works inside your existing Linear, Slack and Figma setup. For MARA, a hospitality SaaS scaleup at $2M ARR across 1,500 hotels, the studio designs product features and the marketing site as one ongoing engagement. Its web3 clients include Solana and Jupiter.
Specializes in: SaaS product UI, launch sites, launch motion, and design systems.
Best for: Seed to Series B SaaS and AI teams launching a product, a v2 or a funding announcement in the next one to three months.
Ships for launch: Product UI, launch site and build, launch motion and video.
Starting budget: 925Studios engagements start at $7,000. Retainers and fixed-scope projects are both quoted against scope.
Notable clients: MARA, Offa, Solana, Jupiter, Cerebria.
Watch for: 925Studios is not a live-action production company, so a launch film with actors, locations and a film crew belongs with a studio like BUCK. It is also the wrong fit for enterprise launch programmes that need a large embedded team.
2. Clay
Clay is a San Francisco UX and brand agency with offices in New York and Austin, rated 4.8 across 32 Clutch reviews, and one of the few studios on this list that lists product UI, web design, motion design and photo and video under one roof. For Slack, Clay built an interactive product demo that became Slack's primary sales tool for introducing the product to new users. It also designed the brand, design system, website and motion for Partstack, a new search engine. See Clay's Slack project for how it presents a product to first-time users.
Specializes in: Brand-led product UI, marketing sites, and motion for tech companies.
Best for: Series B and later companies where the launch also resets the brand.
Ships for launch: Product UI, launch site, motion and video.
Starting budget: $50,000+, with hourly rates of $150 to $199.
Notable clients: Slack, Coinbase, Stripe, Google.
Watch for: The client list is weighted toward large companies, and brand-first programmes need a longer runway than a four-week launch.
3. Orbix Studio
Orbix Studio is a web and product design studio with offices in New York and Dhaka, rated 5.0 across 49 Clutch reviews, focused on SaaS, AI and fintech teams. Its motion design service lists launch campaign motion, product demo videos and explainer videos, and it is unusually open about price: $3,000 to $10,000 for a 60 to 90 second video, retainers from $2,999 a month, and a three to five week timeline. Clutch lists named clients including Backblaze, Astroscale and Stratyfy, and it builds sites in Webflow.
Specializes in: SaaS websites, product UI, and launch motion.
Best for: Seed and Series A teams that want a launch site and demo video from one mid-priced vendor.
Ships for launch: Product UI, launch site, motion and video.
Starting budget: $10,000+, with hourly rates of $50 to $99.
Notable clients: Backblaze, Astroscale, Stratyfy.
Watch for: We could not find a named launch video in its public work, and Clutch and its own site disagree on how long it has been operating, so ask to see a shipped launch film before signing.
4. basement.studio
basement.studio is a web, brand and motion studio founded in 2020 in Mar del Plata, Argentina, with a team of about 40 and a client list that reads like a developer-tools launch calendar: Vercel, Linear, Cursor, ElevenLabs and Scale AI. For Next.js Conf 2024, its fourth year working with Vercel, it covered the brand, website, live production, stage design, motion and collateral, and the site won an Awwwards Site of the Day. Read the Next.js Conf case study for the scope of a full launch event.
Specializes in: Launch websites, brand, 3D and motion for developer tools and AI companies.
Best for: Developer-tool and AI companies whose launch lives on the website and at an event.
Ships for launch: Launch site and build, brand, motion and 3D.
Starting budget: Not disclosed.
Notable clients: Vercel, Linear, Cursor, ElevenLabs.
Watch for: basement is a web and brand studio first. It does not list product UI or app design, so the screens inside your product need another team.
A launch video is a screenshot of your product on one particular day. If the product team and the video team aren't looking at the same file, you're filming a version of the product nobody will ever use.

5. Ramotion
Ramotion is a San Francisco brand and product agency founded in 2009, rated 4.9 across 29 Clutch reviews, with more than 80 SaaS websites behind it and builds in Next.js, Webflow and React. It led the Firefox brand refresh that Mozilla unveiled in June 2019, and its SaaS clients include Descript, Salesforce, Okta and Clearbit. Its SaaS web design page puts standard projects at $50,000 to $150,000 or more.
Specializes in: SaaS product UI, brand identity, and marketing sites.
Best for: Series B SaaS companies launching a rebrand and a new site together.
Ships for launch: Product UI, launch site and build, brand.
Starting budget: $50,000+, with hourly rates of $150 to $199.
Notable clients: Firefox, Descript, Salesforce, Okta.
Watch for: We found no motion or video service, so plan to hire a separate studio for the launch film.
6. MetaLab
MetaLab is the Vancouver product studio founded in 2006 that designed Slack from the ground up, including the brand, the mobile app and the marketing site, before Slack's 2013 launch. It also designed and built Coinbase's marketing site and the original Midjourney interface. It lists a $100,000+ minimum and builds software as well as designing it. Our MetaLab alternatives list covers the studios founders compare it with.
Specializes in: Product design, marketing sites, and software development for category-defining products.
Best for: Well-funded companies launching a flagship product that needs design and engineering together.
Ships for launch: Product UI, launch site and build.
Starting budget: $100,000+, hourly rate not disclosed.
Notable clients: Slack, Coinbase, Midjourney, Suno.
Watch for: MetaLab does not list launch video production, and the minimum is a large share of a seed or Series A round.
7. Red Antler
Red Antler is a Brooklyn brand agency founded in 2007 with 50 to 249 people, known for launching consumer brands from scratch. Its Casper work covered strategy, identity, digital, video, packaging and outdoor, and Casper's co-founder Philip Krim described the agency as "like our 6th founder." It also launched Allbirds, Hinge and Figure. Clutch lists a $10,000 minimum, which is low for the scope most clients buy, so treat it as a floor rather than a typical budget. See Red Antler's Casper case study.
Specializes in: Brand strategy, identity, launch campaigns, and video.
Best for: Consumer and fintech startups launching a new brand, not only a product.
Ships for launch: Brand, launch site, video and campaign.
Starting budget: $10,000+ on Clutch, with hourly rates of $100 to $149.
Notable clients: Casper, Allbirds, Hinge, Figure.
Watch for: Product UI is not Red Antler's core, so a B2B SaaS team will need a separate product design partner.
8. Ordinary Folk
Ordinary Folk is a Vancouver motion studio founded in 2019, with nine people, that makes product films for software companies. Its work includes Webflow's ecommerce launch video in 2019, the "Introducing Spline" film in 2022, and a No-Code Conf film for Webflow, alongside work for Google, Twilio, Procreate and TED. Browse Ordinary Folk's work for its product launch films.
Specializes in: Motion design and animated product launch films.
Best for: SaaS teams with the product and site ready who need one outstanding launch film.
Ships for launch: Launch video and motion only.
Starting budget: Not disclosed.
Notable clients: Webflow, Google, Twilio, Spline.
Watch for: A small, in-demand team, so book early, and plan for the product UI and launch site to come from elsewhere.
9. BUCK
BUCK is a motion and animation studio founded in 2004 in Los Angeles, with offices in Brooklyn, Sydney, Amsterdam and London and several hundred staff. It makes launch films for large technology companies: "The Grand Adventure" for Airbnb debuted at Airbnb's 2025 Summer Release keynote, and it made the launch film for Google Vids. See BUCK's Airbnb project for the scale of its launch work.
Specializes in: Motion, 2D and 3D animation, and live action.
Best for: Late-stage companies launching at a keynote or with a large campaign budget.
Ships for launch: Launch film, animation and live action.
Starting budget: Not disclosed.
Notable clients: Airbnb, Google, LinkedIn, Netflix.
Watch for: Big-brand budgets and timelines, and no product UI or launch-site build.

Do you need a launch video, and what should it cost?
Most software launches benefit from a launch video, because it shows the product working faster than screenshots. Product Hunt's launch guide says about 53% of products that reached Product of the Day since 2021 included a video. In Wyzowl's 2026 video marketing survey, 82% of video marketers reported a positive return from video, down from 93% the year before (Wyzowl, 2026), so a video only pays when it shows something the page cannot. Cost varies more than any other launch asset. Wyzowl's survey of explainer video quotes found a median of $5,400 and a range from $600 to $250,000. Orbix Studio publishes $3,000 to $10,000 for a 60 to 90 second video. For a seed or Series A launch, a 60 to 90 second product video built from real UI is usually the right call. Keep it editable until the last week, so a late product change does not leave you shipping an out-of-date film.
Motion inside the product and on the site does similar work at a smaller scale. Our guide to user interface animation covers when it helps, and our roundup of websites with video backgrounds shows where video on a page earns its load time. Yusuf walks through launch video structure on the 925Studios YouTube channel.
Our honest take: a polished launch film matters less than a video that shows the real product clearly. Founders spend weeks on the film and hours on the first screen users land on after clicking it, and that screen is where the launch is actually won or lost.
What should be ready for a Product Hunt launch?
A Product Hunt launch needs a short list of assets ready before 12:01 a.m. Pacific time, which Product Hunt itself recommends as the launch time. Its launch guide also says 79% of featured posts were by makers who hunted their own product, and 60% of #1 Product of the Day winners were self-hunted, so you do not need an outside hunter. Get these ready at least a week ahead:
Gallery images. At least two, at the recommended 1270 by 760 pixels, taken from the final product UI.
Thumbnail. 240 by 240 pixels and under 3MB, legible at small sizes.
Tagline. 60 characters or fewer, saying what the product does, not how it feels.
Launch video. Hosted on YouTube, since that is the only link type the gallery supports.
Maker's first comment. Product Hunt reports that 70% of products that reached Product of the Day, Week or Month had a first comment from the maker.
Launch site. A page that matches the gallery and video, with a clear signup path for Product Hunt visitors.
Onboarding. The first-run experience new users hit, tested with people outside the team.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a product launch design agency do?
A product launch design agency prepares the design assets a public launch needs: polished product UI, a launch site or landing page, a launch video, and gallery and social assets. The best ones build all of these from the same final screens, so every asset shows the same product.
Can one team do the product UI, the launch site and the video?
Yes. On this list, 925Studios, Clay and Orbix Studio list all three. The benefit is that a late product change can reach the site and the video in the same week, instead of waiting on three vendors.
How much does launch design cost?
Published floors on this list run from $7,000 at 925Studios and $10,000 at Orbix Studio to $50,000 at Clay and Ramotion and $100,000 at MetaLab. A standalone 60 to 90 second launch video typically costs $3,000 to $10,000 at a mid-market studio, with Wyzowl reporting a median explainer quote of $5,400.
Should we launch before or after the redesign?
If the redesign changes the screens a new user sees first, finish it before you launch, because launch traffic sees the product once. If it only touches deeper settings or admin views, launch first and ship the redesign as a follow-up announcement.
What if launch day moves?
Plan for it. Keep the video editable until the final week, build the launch site in a CMS your team controls, and avoid dated copy on reusable assets. A team that owns all three surfaces can re-cut and re-publish without renegotiating with separate vendors.
How far ahead should we book a launch video studio?
Book four to six weeks ahead for a mid-market studio and longer for small, in-demand teams like Ordinary Folk or large studios like BUCK. Orbix Studio lists three to five weeks for launch motion.
Do we need a hunter for Product Hunt?
No. Product Hunt's own guide says 79% of featured posts and 60% of #1 Product of the Day winners were self-hunted, and that there is no discernible advantage to using a third-party hunter.
What makes 925Studios different from other product launch design agencies?
925Studios designs the product UI, builds the launch site in Framer or Webflow, and produces launch motion in one team, priced on active requests with a Loom walkthrough every 24 to 48 hours inside your own tools. MARA, a hospitality SaaS scaleup at $2M ARR across 1,500 hotels, works with the studio on product and site as one engagement. The honest limitation: 925Studios does not shoot live action, so a launch film with actors and locations needs a production studio.
The short version
Lock the product screens first. The site, the video and the gallery are all built from them, so they have to be final before anything is filmed.
Count the vendors before you count the price. Every extra handoff between UI, site and video is a place for the launch to drift out of sync.
Start eight to twelve weeks out. Four to six weeks is enough only when the product itself is already ready.
Prepare Product Hunt assets a week early. Gallery, video, tagline and first comment are all known quantities, so leave launch day for answering people.
